NFL Rule Changes

The NFL owners voted today on some rule changes.

The ones that passed were:

Elimination of the force out rule.
-Defenders can now push receivers out of bounds to prevent them from making a catch.

Elimination of 5-yard face mask rule.
-All violations are now 15 yard penalties.

One defensive player can now wear a radio headset.
-One offensive player could wear a headset already.

Review of field goals now allowed.
-This rule change stemmed from a couple crazy kicks last year that appeared to bounce in and out of the uprights. This will ensure that all FG calls are correct.

Of all the rules, the only one that I don't particularly like is the elimination of the force out. Sure, it was cloudy because it was up to interpretation of the officials, but without it, those glorious tiptoe sideline catches will be all but gone for good.
